O.A. Samuel writes character-driven fiction about power — how it is won, wielded, justified and, in time, lost.

Across every book runs the same preoccupation: the distance between justice and obedience, and the ordinary, indispensable people who quietly decide where that line falls. His worlds are built from law codes and council chambers as much as from swords and sails — places where a signature can be as dangerous as an army, and where order always comes at a price.

He writes under two names. As O.A. Samuel he is the author of The Making of a Tyrant, a political-thriller trilogy set inside a fantasy republic that falls not through violence but through patience and procedure. As Samuel Odekunle he writes the Creed & Justice saga, an epic of law, rebellion and the making of a nation, moving from flintlock warfare to steam-driven revolution.

Away from fiction he works in technology and security, thinking about the systems that keep institutions running — and the ways they can be turned. He is based in the United Kingdom.
